Wheelie Wednesday and Channel 5 Have Come up Trumps Thank you

7 days, that's all!

Good news folks, Channel 5 will be airing the highlights for Motogp on Monday's, if we or you don't have Sky this is a real bonus!

Hello again, it's me, ready to write about what ever I want to write about.

Really frustating isn't it if you haven't got sky, so pleased to hear that Channel 5 has agreed to air the highlights on Monday's.

I know that we could pay a subscription fee and watch the races on Motogp but to be honest with you I really feel that we pay out enough for all the channels we have already, and that said we can't find the time to watch all the channels either.

I wrote an e-mail to the BBC last year, yes I did, I was outraged at the fact that they cover all kinds of sports but not Motogp. It was a question of sport that got me agitated, never do they seem to include Motorcyclist, so annoying. Why I asked? This is what I wrote:-

Subject:- Why Motogp is not part of the BBC Coverage

Full complaint:- I watch the BBC all of the time, I love BBC1 and 2, but, I get increasingly frustrated at the fact you do not follow Motogp. Tonight is Friday I watch a question of sport and no question relates to Motorbiking. As I type I am infuriated that everything is around Football, Cricket and Horse Racing! Why?

Please give me a valid reason. If you want a poll for the bikers in the UK who actually watch Motogp including Prince Harry who himself rides motorbikes let me know and I would be quite prepared to provide the statistics.

I pay my TV Licence.

The response I was given was this:- (I have written in red what I think of the response)

Thank you for contacting us. I had no choice!
BBC Complaints team

Dear Mrs Cooper
Thank you for getting in touch.

I understand you feel that there is a lack of coverage provided for Motogp. Yes, I do

We have to focus our limited resources on providing coverage of the main sport events or those with a direct connection to the UK. So your saying that Motogp is not a main sport event

Being publicly-funded we have to ensure the best value for money and fairness for all licence fee payers but this reality inevitably means that some sports - from right across the sporting spectrum - receive less coverage than others. So when you say some sports you mean Motorcycling

We do report on Motogp through our BBC Sport website but I appreciate that you would prefer to see televised coverage. When you say report you don't show the full race

You can find our dedicated section online here:

All complaints are sent to senior management and production teams every morning and I included your points in this overnight report. They make the decision then, are any of them bikers

These reports are among the most widely read sources of feedback in the BBC and ensures that your complaint has been seen by the right people quickly. When you say right people do these people appreciate Motogp

This helps inform their decisions about current and future programmes. Really

Once again, thanks for taking the time to contact us. Didn't get me anywhere did it!

So, there you have it. No real reason was given and now Motogp is very close I am getting increasingly annoyed again!

All I can say is if more people made complaints to the BBC maybe, just maybe they would listen.

I cannot thank Channel 5 enough for covering the highlights, I was quite concerned that I wouldn't be able to watch any of the racing only snippets after the occasion that my twitter and facebook friends and Motogp share with me.

Winge over, so we only have a few days left now to wait for the Motogp to start and I know from the posts on twitter and facebook and instagram that we are all ready and waiting.

Rossi, is well ready, you never know what he will pull out of the bag next, such an exciting and unpredictable racer. Not a boring moment when he is on the track.

All of the riders seem to be raring to go this year, it's gonna be one hell of a Motogp.

So I have added piccies of other riders in my blog today as so many have been added to my facebook and twitter pages. Thank you all, I absolutely love wheelies.

Mustn't forget Sic...

Yes Cal we know....

What would I do without my weekly fix of looking at Rossi doing these fabuloso wheelies, absolutely blows me away with the precise way he manages to keep the bike up! And for so long!

BSB starts at Donington park on the 22nd March for all you BSB lovers.
